The Birthday Wish Machine

Making Birthday Wishes Come True... One Smile at a Time

From the imagination of Gail Robin Raes comes a magical story celebrating birthdays, kindness, family, and the joy of making someone else feel special.

What would you wish for if a magical machine could create the perfect birthday just for you?

Would it be a shopping spree in Las Vegas? A giant water park adventure? Front-row seats to a football game? A concert with your favorite band? A ride on a friendly dragon? Or maybe... the world's largest bowl of Top Ramen?

When Gwendolyn and Draxton discover the mysterious Birthday Wish Machine, they can't wait to make their own birthday wishes come true.

But the Birthday Wish Machine has one very important rule...

Before you make a wish for yourself, you must first create a wish for someone else.

Soon the children are planning unforgettable birthday adventures for Mom, Dad, Big Jeremy the Dragon, and each other. Along the way they discover roller coasters, dragons, treasure hunts, shopping sprees, water parks, football games, magical surprises, and plenty of laughter.

As each birthday unfolds, Gwendolyn and Draxton discover something unexpected...

The greatest adventure isn't found in the presents they receive. It's found in the joy of making someone else feel loved.

Filled with imagination, humor, family, friendship, dragons, roller coasters, water slides, shopping adventures, and plenty of birthday magic, The Birthday Wish Machine is a heartwarming story that reminds readers of every age that the happiest birthdays aren't measured by the size of the cake or the number of presents waiting to be opened.

They're measured by the memories we create... the smiles we share... and the love we give away.

Perfect for children ages 5–9, this heartwarming adventure is ideal for birthday gifts, grandparents to read with grandchildren, parents and children to enjoy together, bedtime stories, family read-alouds, classrooms and school libraries, and anyone who believes in kindness, imagination, and a little birthday magic.

So think carefully...

If the Birthday Wish Machine appeared at your house... What would your birthday wish be?
