Behind the Story
From Flip Flops to Everything in Between
If you’ve read Picnics in the Vineyard, you may remember Jennifer’s bright, cheerful guestroom—bursting with tropical colors, playful patterns, and, of course… flip flops everywhere.
What you might not know is… that room is real. It’s mine.
Every splash of color, every flip flop detail, every whimsical touch came straight from my own guestroom—a space I lovingly turned into what can only be described as a full-blown celebration of flip flops.
To me, flip flops are more than footwear—they’re a feeling. They’re sunshine on your shoulders. Music playing in the background. Laughter around a table set with bright, happy colors. That first step outside when the weather turns warm and anything feels possible.
Some might call it a collection. I call it a lifestyle.
And somewhere along the way, that love turned into something more… it became a story.
A simple sentence popped into my head one day: “I’m just a girl who loves flip flops.” And just like that… everything changed.
That one little thought planted a seed—a story idea that grew into a colorful, joyful world filled with friendship, laughter, and self-expression. What started as a single spark became something much bigger: a celebration of fun, creativity, and not being afraid to love what you love—boldly and unapologetically.
And for me? It all started with a simple truth—I’m just a girl who loves flip flops.
