Highly Recommended
We just enjoyed a delightful get away to the Napa Valley. Ryan was our driver and tour guide extraordinaire! We spent two days with Ryan as our guide to some of the best and also unique boutique wineries we didn't know existed. He also suggested several good restaurants for lunch/dinner that we enjoyed immensely. One new restaurant we really enjoyed is il Posto in Napa. Ryan called ahead to arrange our reservation and the chef Josh Wheeler came to our table to introduce himself and ask how we enjoyed our meal. What service! The food was absolutely delicious.

The wineries we visited this trip were Paraduxx, Upvalley Vintners, Lava Vine, Heitz Wine Cellars, Milat Vineyards, and Del Dotto Estate Winery and Caves. Next visit we plan to hire Jewels Wine Drivers to take us to the Sonoma Valley wineries including the Russian River area and Healdsburg.

We highly recommend hiring a wine driver like Ryan who has the inside scoop on where the best restaurants and wineries are and because he's a Napa local, having grown up in Napa, he knew all the backroads and interesting history of the area and about the wine making process. This was so much better than hiring a limo driver, it was more personal. Ryan took the wheel of our rental car and made our stay easy and carefree instead of dealing with the traffic and not knowing where to go, where to park, or risk driving under the influence... this was a much better way to enjoy the wine country.

Thank you Ryan for providing this wonderful service and see you again in the near future.

Awesome Experience
Thank you so much for such an awesome experience. I used Jewels Wine Drivers when my boyfriend and I decided to visit Napa to celebrate his birthday. Julia was our driver and she came and met us at our B&B around 10:30 AM and then she drove us around in my car all day. I had made reservations at 2 wineries and she offered to make a few additional recommendations to fill out the rest of our day. They do a great job of feeling their audience out and making sure they get to experience some of the best local wineries in wine country. It was the best day ever.

I've also used them for work events. Jewels actually picked my party up in Sacramento and showed our customers a fantastic time.

Will definitely be using them again!

Birthday Celebration in Wine Country
Seriously amazing service. My friend came to Napa for her 30th. birthday and wanted to get a real wine tasting experience. Ryan was our driver, and his knowledge of the area, the wineries, the restaurants, really everything- was top notch. On top of that, he's a very friendly person and we had no problem chatting about whatever during the trip.

The service was extremely well priced versus what you are going to pay for a car service with a car and a driver.

I would highly recommend this service to anyone coming to the area for a wine tasting experience. For a summarized list of why, see below:
1) Ryan was a great driver - I am not usually comfortable in a car unless I am driving, but he was great.
2) Outstanding price- comfort of your own car
3) Amazing local knowledge, wine knowledge
4) Friendly and on time
5) Don't drink and drive - be safe. The service is WAY cheaper than a DUI, and way cheaper than the cost of your life/someone you DUI vehicularly manslaughter.

Thank you again Ryan for a really great experience - I have recommended you to my family who lives in Yountville, and will continue to recommend to anyone who is going on a Sonoma/Napa trip.

“Wine Driver in Napa Valley Was EXCELLENT!!!”

We had the pleasure of spending a day with Ryan of Jewels Wine Drivers of Napa Valley. Ryan planned a day of tastings for us. We told him the types of wines and wineries we were interested in during our telephone conversation. We had a fun, relaxing and informative day in the wine country thanks to Ryan being our designated driver. We loved the idea of not worrying about drinking and driving and Ryan's service provides the perfect solution. We visited several boutique family owned wineries and several of the well known must visit wineries during our six hour day. Ryan grew up in Napa and knows his way around the valley even showing us a few back road short cuts and insider information only a local would know. We highly recommend hiring Jewels Wine Drivers when you visit Napa and Sonoma wine regions, you will be so glad you did! Thanks again, Ryan, for making our visit the best ever!!!

Great Experience
My sister and I used Jewel Wine Drivers a couple weeks ago in Napa. What a great experience. Tommy was our driver and he was SO nice. He was easy to talk to and went out of his way to make our Napa experience the best. We didnt really know where we wanted to go and he planned a great day for us and had reservations at a new tasting room every time we got in the car. Highly recommend Tommy and Jewel Wine Drivers.

This Is The Way To Go
We used this service on our honeymoon and by far, this is the way to go. You get the comfort of your own car but none of the responsibility of driving it! Ryan took us where we wanted to go, and suggested a few other places we had never tried. No need to designate a driver for wine tasting...let them drive you in your own car!

Honeymoon in Napa
This was one of our favorite things we did on our honeymoon to Napa! We definitely recommend this renegade wine tour to those looking for a convenient and affordable winery tour, or those looking to visit a few wineries off the beaten path. Being just the two of us a limo tour was not an option, ultimately, this was more our style anyway.

Ryan designed our wine tour to meet our tastes and took us to some great spots we wouldn't even have heard of otherwise, and he even got us in to a Burgess which is an appointment only tasting room, that's supposedly tough to get into. We really loved the smaller venues with fun and friendly tasting rooms. Those weary of pretentiousness and wine snobs would do well to take this tour.

Not only was Ryan super knowledgable about wine and the history of the valley, but he was also very friendly, candid and easy to talk to. He readily shares his opinions on different wines and wineries, and had a lot of great tips that we followed the rest of our stay in Napa. He even dropped us his personal line at the end of our tour in case we had any questions the next day. If we had had the time in our schedule we would have called him up to do it all again the next day!

Loved This Experience, Our BEST Decision We Made
We loved this experience and was one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Napa/Sonoma. Ryan was our driver and he knew all the best places to go and even took us past our allotted time to get a final winery in. They were all diverse, ranging from small, family owned wineries to bigger ones with beautiful views. We were happy and plenty intoxicated by the end of the evening and went to WAY more wineries than we ever could have made on our own. He was super nice and fun to talk to -- highly recommended!!

“Sommeliers Wine Tasting Experience”

My visit to the Napa Valley was so much fun thanks to Ryan at Jewels Wine Drivers. I hired Jewels Wine Drivers to provide transportation and recommendations on tastings and which wineries I should visit. I did not want to drink and drive and I did not know my way to all the new wineries in the valley since my last visit several years ago so this was the perfect solution. Ryan asked what types of wines I liked and if I had any specific wineries I wanted to visit. I gave him a short list of wineries and asked him to include other lesser known or new wineries that he thought I would enjoy.

I am so glad I had Ryan to advise me - he was spot on with his recommendations. I had many delicious tastings of some of the best wines, I purchased numerous bottles for myself and as gifts too.

As we drove around the valley he pointed out areas of interest and good restaurants I should try as well as insiders secrets that only a local would know.

My experience was top notch and I would highly recommend hiring Jewels Wine Drivers when you visit the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. I have already scheduled a return visit in two months to spend two more days in the Sonoma Valley region with Ryan. Ryan was professional, friendly, informative and a fun personality too.

I would highly recommend Jewels Wine Tours to anyone looking for a driver in Napa Valley. The convenience and affordability of having a driver pick you up in the morning at your hotel/rental home, in your rental car (which you are presumably already paying for), and providing personalized wine tours is unbeatable. Not to mention, Ryan is a great guy who shows an ability to appeal to any crowd.

Background:A group of six of us (three couples) rented a Tahoe at SFO airport and a home in Green Valley (about 30 mins from Napa) for the week. We used Jewels Wine Drivers for three consecutive days of wine tasting throughout the valley. We supplied Jewels with a list of wineries we wanted to visit over the three days.

Pros:Jewels scheduled all of our wine tastings and winery tours for us. All we had to do was supply them with a list of places we wanted to visit. Their knowledge of the valley (travel times) and how long you spend at each winery (varies greatly from winery to winery) allowed us to optimize our time while staying on a comfortable schedule.

Ryan picked us up at our home each morning, promptly at our agreed-upon time (9:00-10:00 varying by day). He was always right on time. He showed up with an ice chest so we could pack picnic stuff and water if we wanted to.

While driving through the valley, he was happy to provide as much or as little dialog, opinion, and/or commentary as we desired. He was great as a sounding board for comments/questions throughout the day as we made our way from stop to stop. He even took the time to look some things up when he didn't know the answers off the top of his head. He seems to know tons of people throughout the valley and is able to provide the 'inside scoop'. He also suggested several wineries and lunch/dinner places which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Ryan was careful to make sure we stayed on schedule... Time flies when your having fun/drinking wine. He always stayed with the vehicle during our tastings to keep the car safe and cool to make sure our wine purchases stayed in great shape.

Each night he dropped us off back at our house with our rental car. One night he even ran us by the grocery store as none of us were in any kind of shape to be driving.

All in all, there really is no other way to see Napa Valley when considering great service, convenience and value. You will not be disappointed.

We had the greatest time on our tour of Napa. We were a group of five long time friends that definitely did not know our way around. Ryan was such a great guide. He was on time each day, took us to every winery we had given him as a must see, and was still able to fit in a few of his local favorites (which were some of the best)! He went out of his way to make sure we knew about Napa and the places we were visiting.

Perhaps the most impressive portion of his tour was when we arrived at a winery we had chosen and did not care for. Within five minutes Ryan had us at another winery in the area with an appointment made for a tasting! This company really does go out of their way to make it a great experience. We will never stop recommending them!

I had a great time going on Jewels Wine Tour. Julia was very friendly and made the whole experience great. We bought the Groupon deal and it was worth every penny.

She designed a tour based on our requests, and even added a few extra wineries along the way. She is knowledgeable about the area and the wine making process and made sure we were taken care of at every winery we visited.

Having a driver let us really enjoy our day and not have to worry about anything.

“Sommelier-Led Wine Tasting”
We had Julia as our guide for a day in Napa, picked up at our hotel in the town of Sonoma, so you never have to drive.

She grew up in the area and has worked at several top flight restaurants, so she knows the area, the families that own the wineries and she even picked our wait person at Bottega (lunch was special). We traveled on back roads and saw parts of Napa that were new to us (although we've been there several times before).

We picked some wineries; Julia added others as time permitted. In addition, we visited a distillery (Charbay) and an olive oil/cheese place (Napa Valley Olive Oil Mfg Co).

We are experienced wine travelers, and Julia added a great deal to our day and tasting experience. She was never intrusive, but she kept us "on time" throughout the day.

Another virtue of having a guide is that in several cases tasting fees were waived because she had brought us in. Otherwise you pay for tastings even using this tour service. (Look for half off coupons; Julia had several for us that we ended up not needing to use.)

In setting up our tour, my wife dealt with Ryan who was very helpful and explained what our options were. You can choose tours of various time lengths. We found these folks through Groupon -- so, if you are planning a trip with some advance time, consider signing up with Groupon for deals like this.

We would go with Jewel Wine Tours again in a heartbeat.

WOW--such an amazing service!

Ryan was our wine tour guide for a bachelorette party this past weekend in Napa and he led us to have the most amazing day. The weather was perfect for wine tasting, we hit up 5 wineries and with his helpful hints we tasted for free/really cheap at all of them. Ryan tailored the trip to our crowd (5 reunited friends) and drove us to amazing look outs and fun wineries....we didn't have to think about a thing! Being picked up at our hotel and using our own car made the day so easy and comfortable.

Ryan gave us great vino knowledge and local tips, so much better than a stuffy chauffeur! We were all so pleased with Jewel's wine tours...Bravo for creating such a great company!

I already booked Jewel's Wine tours for my next winery outing!

Wine Tour of Napa Valley - Let a Sommelier Take The Wheel
I'm excited to know this company is now on Yelp. Ryan was our Napa Winery Tour guide and his knowledge of wine and 'inside tips' on wineries in the Napa Valley could not be beat! With my girlfriend's parents in from out-of-town, he showed us all one of the best times they had here. He was personal, professional, and took us to the little places that most tourists would never be able to find on their own! I have already referred Jewels Wine Tours to a few friends who have also booked with him and they share the same sentiment.

If you are visiting the Napa Region, do not attempt to grab a map and simply 'find your way around.' Get a professional from Jewels wine tours and make your experience a unique and memorable one. Good job guys! 5 + Stars!!
